#1: Shame on you!! NEVER pressure-wash a lightweight bike from *any* manufacturer! You're gonna bend parts.
#2: First two things I would check are that the pulley cover is still straight and that the tab washer behind the pulley nut hasn't been bent either.
#3: If you feel you need to pull the pulley nut off, for God's sake remember it's reverse threaded.
#4: I don't know if there are bearings or not, never had any strange noises from that area. If you pull the nut and there IS a bearing, I would remove it and check its races for wear. A "click" like you described really sounds like a flat roller/ball or a dead bearing race.
#5: If you need to replace the bearing, don't get it from the dealership! Take your old one with you to NAPA or CarQuest or a bearing specialty house. They can mic it, number-match it, or in some cases visually ID what you need. Will be a better bearing at a lot less cost.
#6: Once you figure out what it is, let us know! It might keep somebody else from going through the same thing.
